Pregnancy – pre and post natal

It is safe to train through pregnancy. 

Whether you are already active, or new to it, the benefits for you and your baby are undeniable.

Training is available in person and online. Read more below.

Pre-natal

Already active?

It is extremely beneficial for you to keep training. Although exercise adaptions will be required during your pregnancy, and it is important listen to your body, you can largely maintain your volume of exercise.

Want to become active?

Yes. It is safe to become active during pregnancy! Research shows that women who have been inactive can positively affect their own health as well as that of their baby’s by gradually introducing activity into their lifestyle.

Providing there are no contraindications everyone should be encouraged to be active during pregnancy.

Benefits of training through pregnancy include:

– Prepare your body for labour

– Increase the ability of your muscles to recover (very helpful post labour)

– Increase muscle strength to support you with the role of being a mother

– Increase body confidence

– Increase overall confidence and self-esteem

– Decrease stress and support mental health

Pre-natal sessions are available at the FTF studio and online.

Post-natal

You can still stay on top of your game after your baby is born.

After giving birth, your body will require time to heal. This time varies from person to person, but as long as you’ve been cleared by your 6-week check up you can start to get your body moving in more challenging ways again.

Working with a specialist is the best way to do this.

You will build your strength, enhance your confidence and have the chance to become the best version of you ever.

At FireTiger Fitness every session is based on you and will be adapted during the session to suit your wellbeing as and when required.

Post-natal Training

Face-to-face

Training in the FireTiger Fitness Studio is for mum’s only. It is a space for you to solely focus on your healing, growth and your own wellbeing. Giving you the opportunity for you time, away from your role as mum. These sessions are wonderful to help you find you again and realise the power you still have within to deal with anything the world throws at you.  

 

Online

You may not be ready to leave your baby or perhaps you don’t have the option to leave them early on in your post-pregnancy period, which is why I offer online sessions and programmes. Everything is managed online, from video calls to session plans and simply the ability to chat when required.
