There is a huge dropout of young girls in physical activity whilst at school. The FTF Schools Programme aims to stem this flow.

Context
The Concern
The most noticeable dropout for females in activity is in year 9/10, and it is becoming more prevalent in younger year groups each year. This rate of avoidance and cessation only intensifies as these young women age. It is true in both the state and the independent school sectors.
Why
Challenges are increasing for young females daily and on a global stage. Not only are the younger generation inundated with misinformation through social media, parents and friends, but many adult women still do not have the correct understanding, or knowledge, of thriving with the female body themselves.
Previously the science was lacking, and there has been no clear path for development since.

FireTiger Fitness addresses the commonly glossed over topics and shortcomings of school curriculums as well as historical inaccuracies, to provide honest support and guidance to the young female population.
Parent seminars, staff CPD and staff health and wellbeing seminars are also available.

What is the FTF Schools Programme?
The Schools Programme is not simply for the “sporty girls”. It is for the girls that actively avoid sport at school, or avoid participating in activity when boys are around. It is for the girls that love to be active and want to represent their sport at the highest level, and it is for any girls in between.
The Schools Programme is brimming with female specific guidance that can be tailored to the needs of each group.

Each school has a personalised approach to their programme. FireTiger Fitness will create the optimal strategy to suit each school’s needs.
At the end of their programme each school will receive a data package including a detailed analysis of their students highlighting progressions and future recommendations.
