There is a huge dropout of young girls in physical activity whilst at school. FireTiger Fitness works with schools to empower these young women to gain confidence and remain active.

The Schools Programme is not simply for the “sporty girls”. FireTiger Fitness benefits all young women. It is for the girls that actively avoid sport at school, or avoid participating in activity when boys are around. It is for the girls that love to be active and want to represent their sport at the highest level, and it is for any girls in between. 

The Schools Programme is brimming with female specific guidance that can be tailored to the needs of each group. Sarah has a unique ability to to quickly build strong and trusting relationships where students feel comfortable to be themselves and to share their feelings.

Context

The most noticeable dropout is in year 9/10 (aged 13-15) and this rate of cessation or avoidance only intensifies as they grow older. This is true in the state and the independent school sector. 

If you are an adult, consider when you started to lower your physical activity levels, imagine how different your life may be if you had support and education on female specific concerns and issues you were facing when you were younger. Someone who could explain why you might be feeling the way you are and provide you with the toolkit to help you succeed in a variety of areas in your life. You may have more confidence, you may have continued being physically active, you might be healthier, live longer, have healthy relationships with people, food and social media….. The list goes on.

Approach

FireTiger Fitness aims to engage with as many female students as possible. The combined scientific, theoretical and practical approach allows a holistic progression of all students. Through delving into a variety of areas, including, but not limited to:

Sleep 

Students are able to develop their understanding of their bodies and create their own toolkit to prosper.  

Each school has a personalised approach to their programme. The school is able to choose the group of females to work with i.e. full year groups, teams, scholars, struggling students or rewards programme students, as well as the number of sessions and the make up of sessions (theory/practical).
